Great work!
Ive been trained to use a sword, but it's not a Japanese art that I've been trained in.

CQC. very simple, very crude.
I was trained to use a lot of different weapons as the situation calls for it.

Very nice, though I do agree with Trinity. Head seems off. I think you overextended the fluff on his face XD or the actual face portion is a bit small @_@ Something :P

KENDO FTW! You did a great job capturing the energy in the stance...makes me really miss participating in the sport.

Somewhat. I trained more specifically in Kenjutsu, but only dabbled in a little bit of Kendo. The former allowed me to use a much wider variety of weaponry, as well as adapt the style my teacher used to suit myself. Plus, I find the armor for it too cumbersome to be practical in self-defense training.

That, and I didn't have to change schools to practice Bojutsu or Naginatajutsu(which I felt would be smart to take, seeing as most cities won't allow me to carry around a 3 foot sword).

Cool colors. But something is a little bit off with the anatomy. I think it could be the shape of the head. But thats all. Very nice picture. :meow:

Very awesome. It is such a dynamic piece. It feels like there is movement happening in the picture as well. Well to me it does.
